    Looking through my old photos I found this slide taken in Damaraland in the 90s of a musician playing a guitar made from an upcycled Castrol oil tin. I remember being delighted by the innovative guitar. Thirty years later the resident band at Etosha Safari Camp entertains guests every evening playing a commercialised version that I bought at the Cape Town Waterfront, as well as their more conventional musical instruments.
