    Interesting items gain a second life when they are found to be useful. I had to doubletake when I saw this OvaHimba woman’s cooking pot.

    The photo was taken in Kaokoland in 1992, after independence, when the hostilities in the North had thankfully come to an end. In the peaceful aftermath, this South African military helmet had found a new purpose.
