Padlangs - Stories and Shebeens of Namibia

    By Author
    February 04, 2025
We were sent this photo of a shebeen taken in the Namibian countryside with the descriptive Afrikaans name ‘Padlangs’, a word which we’ve chosen to best describe our range of stories about Namibia and its neighbouring countries.

‘Padlangs’ - along the road - so aptly describes the experience of slowing down to meet the people along the road and to hear their stories.

Thanks to the shebeen folk for emblazoning the Padlangs name, also apt for the name of a place to sit back after a busy week and enjoy a drink with friends.
