This photo of a quiver tree, taken east of Bloedkoppie in the Namib-Naukluft Park, is a special one.

Of course, the hardy, iconic tree is always special. What makes this photo even more spectacular is the landscape. Usually tawny in colour, it has donned its green season finery and is crowned with a puffy raincloud, compliments of a good rainy season.
