    Kaokoland’s renowned ‘Stonemen’

On a recent trip, we visited Kaokoland’s renowned ‘Stonemen’. Located at various spots in the region, the Stonemen have become popular attractions for travellers in this remote north-western corner of Namibia. The identity of their maker remains a mystery as does the number of Stonemen. We were fortunate to find this one anointed by sunlight and overlooking a green landscape, transformed after the bountiful summer rains. A blessing after years of drought.
